Your psychologist,
Miriam Wyzenbeek
Founder of Paramount Psychology
Principal Clinical & Forensic Psychologist
Accredited Psychology Supervisor & MBA
Since a young age, Miriam has been fascinated by ordinary people’s ability to do extraordinary things. As the granddaughter of Holocaust survivors, she developed a deep interest in individual and collective resilience, people’s capacity to cope with hardship and trauma, and the ability to grow from adversity. This early interest has led Miriam to study and work across multiple domains of psychology, including clinical, forensic, and organisational contexts.
As a working professional and parent herself, Miriam understands the challenges of balancing life’s many responsibilities. She has often been surprised by the lack of flexible support options available for those with demanding schedules, which inspired her to offer an out-of-hours psychology service tailored to busy individuals.
Through her diverse experiences, Miriam has learned that every challenge can be navigated, that relationships and connections are vital, and that having a space where you can be yourself and freely share your inner thoughts is invaluable. With more than two decades dedicated to psychology, Miriam’s commitment to mental health, wellbeing and helping people live fulfilled lives remains as strong as ever.
